Amanda and Holly both love food. They are also passionate about what it can do to improve mental health. Both DAA Accredited Practicing Dieticians. Amanda and Holly are also the co-founders of Mood Food Nutrition, an innovative start-up supporting Australians to boost their mental health by eating well.
As the science linking good nutrition with positive mental health outcomes grows ever-more compelling, Amanda and Holly help explain how, why, and most importantly, ‘what should I eat?’. In a world where trending food fads and overblown nutritional claims are hard to escape, the pair cut through the marketing hype to provide clear and compelling guidance around food choices.
Amanda and Holly have worked in private practice, at schools and in mental health clinics, witnessing first-hand the impacts of poor food choices and the transformative power of eating well. For the past five years they have set about creating change within first responder agencies, where workers are at high risk of mental health disorders.
Holly and Amanda bring a shame-free approach to eating, emphasising the importance of enjoyment and explaining how even small changes can have positive effects. Through Mood Food Nutrition, they offer an evidence-based online program to support employees.
